Home leave 2006

As most of our Dutch friends and relatives know, but you don't: last year we bought a little holiday house in the center of the Netherlands, in Hollandsche Rading. This is a little village south of Hilversum, where the grandparents of Saman and Yekuno and many other close relatives live. It has a railway station and by train it takes 10 minutes to Utrecht, some 40 to Amsterdam CS and less than an hour to Schiphol airport. Just to give you a clue where it is. You can also just look it up on Google Earth...

This year we had a long stay of 5 weeks because we discovered that 3 weeks is the absolute minimum to relax but also because Eline had to leave for Sweden end August. In the next messages some photos of the house itself to give an idea. Most of you may never see it, though you are most welcome to come and stay there, also when we are not around! Just send a message and we can discuss the availability of the house.

During home leave we undertook all kinds of activities and celebrated 3 birthdays. Pictures of those will be on the regular website soon.
